The mission of the ECW is to unite the women of Christ Church in a program of worship, study, service and fellowship which will deepen and strengthen their own spiritual lives and lead them into service for the church, the parish, the community, the Diocese, the nation and the world. All women of Christ Church are members of the ECW. The work of the ECW is carried out by four major committees: Devotions, Hospitality, Outreach, and Ways and Means.
Throughout the year, the ECW graciously hosted several funeral and memorial service receptions as well as a reception for Bishop Gayle's visit to Christ Church in April. Outreach projects in 2006 included the United Thank Offering, the Salvation Army "Dress a Live Doll" program and the Salvation Army "Xmas for Teens" project. The ECW also donated money at Christmas to the Children's Center on Sisson Road, the YMCA Child Care Center housed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, and a needy family affiliated with Christ Church.
